About The Position

The Sr. Director, Finance Business Partnering is Chamberlain Group’s senior finance leader and strategic advisor for an assigned business area, operating across Corporate Finance or Commercial/Product environments. This role shapes and executes business strategy by providing enterprise-grade financial leadership across planning, forecasting, investment evaluation, and performance management, ensuring strategic initiatives are financially sound and aligned to business priorities. The incumbent leads and develops a high-performing team of finance professionals while serving as a trusted advisor, influencing senior leaders, driving financial accountability, and connecting rigorous financial analysis to commercial and operational outcomes. Success in this role requires deep financial expertise, executive presence, the ability to lead through complexity, and a demonstrated track record of elevating finance as a strategic function within a matrixed organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 10-15 years in roles financially supporting business units in a consumer durable or manufacturing environment; experience managing a team of financial professionals
  • Knowledge of ERP system and planning software
  • Ability to travel up to 15% within North America

Responsibilities

  • Direct the Finance Business Partnering team to enable the delivery of business priorities.
  • Develop and retain high-performing talent through clear expectations, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to business unit leadership, providing rigorous financial assessment, counsel, and recommendations on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and investment decisions to drive informed and financially sound outcomes.
  • Deliver insightful analysis of key financial and operational drivers—including revenue, margin, cost, and business unit KPIs—to surface trends, quantify risks and opportunities, and support timely, fact-based decision-making.
  • Govern the evaluation and approval of incremental investment requests, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, financial thresholds, and Business Unit objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end financial planning cycle—including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range strategic planning—ensuring alignment with Business Unit strategic direction and operating objectives.
  • Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and governance of all financial results, analyses, forecasts, and estimates, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial governance requirements.
  • Develop and oversee financial models for new products, initiatives, and business cases, ensuring underlying assumptions are reasonable, well-supported, and thoroughly documented.
  • Lead structured scenario modeling and contingency planning with cross-functional teams to proactively anticipate risks, define actionable mitigation plans, and ensure the organization is prepared for a range of outcomes.
  • Identify and drive value creation opportunities across revenue, cost, and working capital, translating financial insights into executable initiatives that improve Business Unit performance.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
