Child and Family Services (CFS) of Casey Family Programs provides direct services and tribal consultation in pursuit of Casey’s mission to provide, improve, and – ultimately prevent the need for – foster care. CFS operates nine field offices in five states and an Indian Child and Family Well-being Program office that demonstrate direct service and ICW improvement models. Job Summary: The Casey Family Programs, Child and Family Services (CFS) Senior Director of Practice serves as a member of the CFS Senior Leadership Team reporting to the CFS Managing Director for Practice and Operations. As a strategic and collaborative leader, the Senior Director of Practice has overall responsibility for enhancing the quality of practice and outcomes of CFS direct services through driving strategic alignment between the CFS practice model, new hire and ongoing training and staff support, clinical assessment tools and direct service practice standards and expectations to measurably improve outcomes for youth and families. Requirements

Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in social work practice, clinical practice consultation, program development and evaluation and/or clinical program leadership.
Proven track record of progressive leadership in practice-driven operations, including supervision and management.
Demonstrated project management, change management, and implementation science skills as well as a thorough understanding of continuous process improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of current and developing practices, nationally, within child welfare, child development, kin and resource caregiver training and education, family and community systems intervention, family foster care, and the needs of youth being raised in substitute care are required.
Knowledge of permanency and transition services as related to the field of child welfare is required.
Demonstrated leadership in supervision, as well as indirect supervision through coaching, is required; in addition to proven effective management with successful outcomes; flexibility, critical thinking, and priority setting are key competencies in this position.
Strong organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills required.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, respect for tribal sovereignty, and respect for cultural, racial, and gender difference is required.
Personal qualities demonstrating adaptability, curiosity, collaboration and a capacity for self-reflection and commitment to lifelong learning are a must.
Ability to contribute effectively with and across teams and with external partners necessary.
Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
Travel required for meetings, conferences, and events, up to 40%.
Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, text, and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.

Responsibilities

Directly supervises multiple CFS Practice and Operations team members, including CFS Practice Advisors, the CFS Director of Practice Initiatives and the CFS Director of Learning and Development.
Provides leadership opportunities for employees that enable growth and encourage leadership development within the position.
Ensures that employees receive the appropriate training, coaching, feedback and performance evaluations.
Provides strategic leadership and oversight of CFS practice and outcomes of youth and families.
Develops and leads CFS improvement initiatives using quantitative and qualitative information.
Leads interdisciplinary teams that assess and enhance quality practice by identifying strengths and weaknesses, and defining and/or developing necessary tools and training to improve practice.
Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of best practices in child and family well-being systems.
Analyzes practice trends and needs to promote the continuous quality improvement of policy, practice and procedures.
Ensures that practice standards reflect requirements from the Council on Accreditation (COA), licensing regulations and emerging practice.
Leverages safety science to support continuous quality improvement efforts, including through critical incident reviews, and apply learnings to CFS practice ecosystem.
Provides oversight and support of Practice Technology Integration.
Manages collaborative support for practice technology, development and maintenance of integrated project efforts that include key stakeholders across the organization and ensures technical solutions match practice standards and needs.
Routinely responds to requests from the CFS Executive Vice President, including those that emerge from the CFP Board of Trustees, pertaining to CFS practice and youth and family outcomes.
Represents Casey Family Programs, and more specifically, CFS, to internal and external partners.
Works closely with the leadership of other Casey teams.
In collaboration with Organizational Development, leads development and implementation of all required direct services training for CFS.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, accrual of 12 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave,10 paid holidays per year, and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year.
Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care.
After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time regular employment, employees in good standing are permitted for a three-month sabbatical with pay.
