About The Position

The Sr. Director and General Manager (GM) of the North America Components Business, within the Conveyance Solutions Division, is responsible for leading the North America Plastics and Cambridge Engineer Services businesses, overseeing a portfolio generating nearly $200M in annual revenue. These businesses engineer, design and manufacture conveying components with a focus on the Beverage, Food, CPG and Intralogistics segments. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Conveyance and GM of the division, this role has full P&L accountability for the region, including three manufacturing sites in the US and Mexico. The GM will drive operational excellence, growth, and profitability across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with Regal Rexnord’s strategic objectives. The role will ensure the division meets or exceeds annual revenue and profitability goals, as well as provide leadership aimed at preparing the business to achieve longer term growth objectives. This includes driving policy deployment initiatives to drive growth with differentiated, sustainable solutions. This position must also utilize the Regal Business Systems (RBS) approach, leveraging 80/20 to understand the markets, customers, product differentiation, value proposition for target customers / applications and develop a product innovation road map. The role has full Business Unit accountability with P&L focus and contributes to the overall leadership and direction of the business and organization. The GM is expected to drive the performance of the business for profitable growth within the entire division. This role will collaborate and influence other functional, geographical and business units and their perspective teams to set strategies and align resources to achieve shared objectives. The GM, in partnership with the Global Commercial Excellence and NA Sales Leader, will develop and execute short and long-term sales, marketing, and operational strategies to deliver the revenue and profit results in accordance with the overall business plan. They will exercise proper guidance and controls to operating plans to optimize revenue and profit. They will foster and promote effective customer relations across the business and provide leadership to motivate employees across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business or other applicable field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience with experience leading a P&L
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without work authorization
  • Ability to travel – up to 40%.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years experience leading a P&L
  • 5+ years experience in managing sales revenue plans and operating expense plans as a key business leader
  • Experience with capital equipment and systems or project-based businesses
  • Experience in product line management, operations, or commercial management
  • Experience in the food, beverage, CPG, or intralogistics industry is a plus
  • Experience developing and executing Strategic and Commercial Business Plans
  • basic proficiency in Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Strategy – Develops and implements profitable growth strategy for the businesses. Create long and short-term strategies and commercial business plans to drive a minimum 50% market outgrowth, including penetration of new markets, and year over year gross margin expansion.
  • Performance – Develops sales targets in line with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and ensure achievement through a cadence of regular oversight.
  • P&L Management – Accountable for delivering the revenue and profit results in accordance with the overall business plan objectives. Provides financial forecasts to Management and oversees the allocation of resources to ensure overall profitability of the business unit.
  • Talent Management and Development – Attract, develop, and retain talent within the business unit to ensure the competency level of all employees is sufficient to be fully effective in their roles.
  • Customer Relations - Create and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the global colleagues to ensure cross functional and cross geographic cooperation.
  • Support company continual improvement initiatives.
  • Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual performance against clearly defined accountable competencies, responsibilities, and objectives.
