The Sr. Contracts Negotiation Manager will manage (in conjunction with key internal partners) the negotiation, redlining and drafting, as well as facilitate the execution of complex and non-standard State and Local Government, and Education (SLED) contracts, amendments and renewals for the T-Mobile for Government organization to ensure they comply with business requirements as well as corporate policy. Represents the organization as the principal customer-facing point-of-contact for contract negotiations. Interacts with company sales management and customer procurement and legal personnel on contract matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. This position will be responsible for negotiating favorable terms and conditions directly with SLED customers relating to the sale of T-Mobile products and services. Provides updates to management and sales on contracts and negotiations and advises sales of contractual eligibility, rights and obligations in concert with senior managers and attorneys. Assists in contract reviews as needed for individual customers and company-wide initiatives. This position will report to a Sr. Manager, Contract Negotiations within the Legal Department. What you’ll do in your role. Represent the organization as a customer-facing lead contact for contract negotiations. Review, redline and negotiate complex and non-standard SLED contracts, including master services agreements, amendments, renewals, non-disclosure agreements, and teaming agreements. Generate T-Mobile contracts and amendments using approved templates, while also utilizing drafting skills for customization and non-standard clauses and provisions. Engage subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to review contract requirements. Develop negotiation strategies that are aligned with company policies and sales goals. Manage contractual issues of diverse scopes which require a comprehensive understanding of cradle to grave contract administration. Administer new contract awards and independently review modifications and amendments for accuracy and/or needed changes in alignment with contract requirements and company policies. Assist with the review of requests for proposal (RFPs) and participate in the preparation of proposal responses. Resolve complex contractual issues and disputes by applying contract management concepts and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Facilitate workflows and maintain accurate contract records within the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. The experience you’ll bring. Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of combination of Education and related work experience. 7-10 years of related work experience in a government contracts role with a government agency, commercial company and/or law firm. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments. Strong oral communication and professional writing skills. Ability to handle quick turnarounds and work effectively with Sales teams and cross-functional subject matter experts on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. U.S. citizenship is required. Minimal travel required. This is a hybrid work role; minimum of 3 days per week in-office required in an open workspace environment. Qualifications (preferred) Prior government or commercial transactional experience, including contract negotiations and modifications for government contracts. Prior experience in government contracting with State, Local and Education customers. Prior experience working with public sector procurement and contracting officers. Prior experience with cooperative purchasing contract vehicles (e.g., NASPO, Sourcewell, GSA Schedule). Prior experience in telecommunications or technology industry. NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) or CCM certification preferred but not required. Familiarity with the following applications strongly preferred: Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint; Salesforce; ChatGPT. At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States T-Mobile requires U.S. citizenship for certain roles within the organization. This role requires U.S. citizenship.
