Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education/contract negotiation experience combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, etc.) required.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in contract negotiation, preferably in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience in automated inventory control environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of procurement/financial systems preferred.
  • Experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of ethical, cost effective and prudent buying concepts preferred.
  • Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., phone, copier) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Sr Contract Analyst is responsible for the analysis of contractual language, requesting revisions of contractual language, and advising the individual signing the contract of anything that may be deemed harmful to the organization at the time of signing.
  • Evaluation and auditing of contract pricing associated with the purchases for the organization.
  • Assists the organization in maximizing savings by participating in the development, evaluation and selection of equipment, service, and product contracts, including but not limited to contracts within our group purchasing organizations.
  • Maintains proper filing system of contracts and other documents to provide efficient access to such documents and facilitate proper maintenance of those files.
  • Audit the system vendor and item dictionaries to ensure that correct pricing has been used for purchases.
  • Consistently communicate with purchasing staff to provide up-to-date information regarding products, contracts, and pricing.
