About The Position

The Senior Project Engineer supports the successful execution of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role involves managing technical aspects, ensuring compliance with design documents, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and supporting field operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project engineering or project management.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project scopes, objectives, and schedules.
  • Prepare, manage, and track project documents such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and permits.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Review and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to standards and project specifications.
  • Track project progress, report on milestones, and assist in resolving issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs and reports.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, tracking expenses, and forecasting costs.
  • Support communication between project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
