The Senior Business Program Manager-Safety is responsible for developing, managing, evaluating, and continuously improving public safety–focused projects, programs, and initiatives from planning through post-implementation. This role is crucial in advancing Exelon’s 2035 goal of zero injuries or fatalities (SIF) for members of the public through public education and enhanced safety program effectiveness, driving measurable improvements across customers, employees, contractors, and communities. The manager leads the development of business plans, project charters, and performance metrics that support public safety objectives and align with business priorities, ensuring organizational alignment with established management models and safety principles while integrating best practices across departments and partners. Key responsibilities include public safety program design and evaluation, data analysis, performance measurement, business planning, and coordination of quality assurance and change management activities. The position may require extended hours during storm response or energy delivery emergencies. This is an individual contributor role that operates independently with general direction, requiring comfort with ambiguity, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and leadership across organizational boundaries to achieve safety outcomes. The role involves managing scope, schedule, and resources within approved parameters, developing structured performance metrics, and providing clear, actionable reporting to leadership. It also entails leading cross-functional and cross-company collaboration to integrate best practices, align safety-related objectives, and drive continuous improvement primarily through influence, credibility, and effective communication. The manager will support and enhance the company’s reputation by ensuring public safety programs and messaging are thoughtful, effective, and continuously improving.
