The Senior Analyst will report to the Manager – US & Global Real Estate & Development FP&A and will be a part of the U.S. Finance team, while also working closley with the broader family of FP&A teams at Wendy’s. This position will have an active role directly supporting U.S. P&L management through reporting on the monthly close, supporting monthly segment reviews, assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes inluding the Annual Operating Plan, periodic forecast updates, and Long-Range Planning. This position will track and analyze all areas of the U.S. P&L including General & Administrative expenses, perfrom analysis on various ad hoc initiatives, and identify and help drive improved process efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors Degree required; preference for Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in financial analysis position with large organization is required.
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP, and strong skills/experience in financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with computer modeling, management reporting systems and computer applications.
  • Ability to create and manage databases and Excel based financial models.
  • Good organizational and communication skills, including strong influencing and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret results, understand implications, solve problems, and communicate and influence business partners all while staying organized.

  • Multi-unit restaurant and/or retail environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compile monthly detailed financial results and analysis for presentation to U.S. Leadership Team. This will include variance explanations versus forecast, prior year, and the annual operating plan.
  • Support preparation and analysis of Annual Operating Plan.
  • Plays key role in the forecast process for the U.S. business unit including headcount reporting and analysis of General & Administrative spend / forecast across multiple functional partners.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis which support key business decisions.
  • Support quarterly financial reporting, audit, and investor relations processes.
