About The Position

Senior Analyst, Strategic Technology Partnerships Role Overview The Senior Analyst, Strategic Technology Partnerships plays a critical role in advancing LPL’s third‑party technology ecosystem by owning partnership execution, influencing strategy, and driving measurable outcomes. This role goes beyond operational support to act as a trusted partner to vendors, advisors, and internal stakeholders, helping translate emerging technology and market trends into scalable, compliant, and monetizable solutions for LPL and its advisors. The Senior Analyst is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, proactively identify opportunities for improvement and growth, and contribute meaningfully to strategic discussions with leadership across product, growth, legal, risk, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience within: Financial services or wealth management technology (custodian, broker‑dealer, advisor technology, or FinTech/SaaS), and/or A strategic partnerships, business operations, or corporate innovation function.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with external partners and internal cross‑functional teams in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow‑through; able to manage work independently with minimal oversight and be relatable via people skills.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to synthesize data, trends, and qualitative inputs into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Proven project management skills, including managing time‑sensitive, cross‑functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate, influence, and align diverse audiences.
  • Detail‑oriented, process‑minded, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including building leadership‑ready materials and insights.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting or managing strategic technology partnerships within wealth management, financial services, or enterprise technology.
  • Familiarity with advisor technology ecosystems, including planning, CRM, portfolio management, data, or AI‑enabled tools.
  • Exposure to vendor onboarding, risk/compliance processes, or commercialization of third‑party solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Execution & Ownership Serve as a primary relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic technology partners, ensuring strong communication, alignment to partnership objectives, and a high‑quality advisor and vendor experience. Independently manage day‑to‑day partnership operations while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, improve partner performance, and scale impact. Act as a point of escalation for partnership issues, coordinating across internal teams to drive resolution and maintain momentum.
  • Strategic Pipeline & Onboarding Leadership Own and operationalize the new partnership pipeline, from early‑stage evaluation through onboarding and activation, including prioritization against LPL’s strategic initiatives. Lead onboarding efforts for new partners, coordinating documentation, process setup, and cross‑functional collaboration with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Product, and Go‑to‑Market teams to ensure smooth and timely integration. Contribute to partnership evaluation by synthesizing insights across advisor demand, strategic fit, monetization potential, and operational complexity.
  • Insights, Metrics & Business Impact Track, analyze, and report financial, adoption, and performance metrics across vendor partnerships, translating data into insights that inform prioritization and leadership decision‑making. Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the partner ecosystem and recommend actions to improve outcomes for advisors and LPL. Support revenue‑generating initiatives such as revenue‑share partnerships, event sponsorships, and new monetization models.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence Partner closely with internal stakeholders across product, growth, technology, marketing, and operations to ensure partnerships are aligned with broader business and platform strategy. Serve as a subject‑matter resource expert for internal teams seeking guidance on fintech capabilities, emerging technology trends, and third-party solutions and emerging advisor technology trends. Mentor and provide informal guidance to more junior team members, contributing to team consistency and execution excellence.
  • Market Awareness & Thought Leadership Build and maintain relationships within the emerging technology ecosystem, including startups, venture capital firms, and innovation communities, to stay ahead of industry trends. Act as a thought partner in strategic discussions with senior leadership by bringing informed perspectives on market dynamics, competitive landscape, and partnership opportunities. Contribute to internal materials, leadership updates, and strategic narratives that position the Tech Strategic Partners team as a value‑creating partner, not just a sourcing function.
