About The Position

Direct Hire POSITION Senior Accounting Manager POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for managing all accounting, tax, finance, and administrative functions by overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role leads the monthly close, budgeting and forecasting processes, tax compliance, internal controls, and supports cross-functional initiatives including systems and process improvements. The position requires independent judgment and broad discretion in managing accounting, auditing, and control activities. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee general accounting functions including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, fixed and intangible assets, intercompany accounting, and general ledger maintenance. Perform final review and approval of payments. Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts. Lead a timely and consistent month-end close process and drive efficiency improvements. Review balance sheets, income statements, reconciliations, and roll-forwards. Supervise quarterly and annual reporting and consolidation activities. Maintain and enhance accounting policies and procedures to strengthen compliance and internal controls. Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit deliverables, including PBC submissions and issue resolution. Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex transactions, contracts, leases, trade finance, GAAP/IFRS matters, and new accounting standards. Review and analyze consolidated reporting packages and inventory reconciliations. Occasional domestic travel may be required. ESSENTIAL TAX RESPONSIBILITIES Manage income tax processes including estimates, provisions, returns, and provision-to-return reconciliation. Oversee sales/use tax, property tax, inventory tax, and other statutory filings. Manage foreign indirect taxes (VAT/GST), including filings, payments, and recordkeeping. Coordinate with tax service providers and government agencies as needed. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support executive leadership with budget management, financial analysis, and variance reporting. Support ERP implementation and optimization by aligning business needs with system capabilities. Lead, develop, and manage direct and indirect reports, including performance management, training, and staffing. Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS Direct supervision of accounting leadership roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
  • 5–7 years of combined public accounting and private industry experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Prior people management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.
