About The Position

The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions on an international scale. This position involves leading the finance accounting team in multiple locations, coordinating international financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations in different countries. The Sr. Accounting Manager plays a critical role in providing accurate financial information across international entities, supporting financial decision-making, and ensuring the integrity of financial statements globally.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • CPA certification required.
  • Education: bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ proven experience in accounting, including 3+ years’ experience directly managing staff.
  • Internal applicants: 6+ months successful demonstration of current position responsibilities, approval from current manager, and a relevant combination of education, continuing education, and experience.
  • Candidates who do not meet the specified educational or experience requirements but possess equivalent qualifications and relevant experience may be considered for this position. The company will assess candidates on a case-by-case basis to determine their suitability for the role based on their overall qualifications, skills, and demonstrated capabilities. Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the finance team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating staff.
  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of international financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with international accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and relevant regulations in various countries.
  • Coordinate and lead the international month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across entities.
  • Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting for international operations to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits for international entities and ensure successful audit outcomes.
  • Review and analyze financial data from various international locations to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure consistent financial reporting and compliance across international entities.
  • Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and accounts for international operations.
  • Monitor and manage international cash flow, ensuring proper cash management and liquidity across entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders at a global level.
  • Work closely with other finance and business teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives on an international scale.
  • Stay updated on international accounting regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in different countries.
  • Participate in the development and execution of international financial policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to finance accounting staff in various locations and ensure professional development.
