This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: Processing hourly employee payroll which may include calculating time cards and entering into SAP system, entering vacation pay, holiday pay, sick leave, funeral pay and any employee deductions, calculating and entering data for live haul earnings and bonuses, completing income verifications for employees, and setting up direct deposit information for employees and working with banks on any direct deposit problems. Other responsibilities include distributing payroll checks, processing W-2 forms and issuing reprints; issuing stop payments on payroll checks; assisting outside locations with Automated Timecard System; maintaining active and inactive employee files; preparing department, company, union and U.S. Department of Labor reports; and any other duties as assigned. This positions work is extremely varied and requires the interpretation of data from multiple sources and a keen eye for detail. Cross-training will be done in areas assigned to include daily production posting and line efficiency analysis.
