About The Position

Industry leading children’s consumer goods toy company is seeking an Account Manager to join our US Growth Channel Team. A fast-paced, agile and ever-evolving growing toy company is looking for a new member to join our team and grow with us. This Salesperson will contribute across several critical functions and will be responsible for developing and executing sales and strategic account plans through multiple categories. The ideal candidate will be a passionate team player that can effectively manage multiple tasks. The role will require a deep understanding of the retail environment and how to align our portfolio of products with the accountant’s needs. To ensure success as an Account Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in successfully performing the responsibilities below.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years related sales experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods, toys, entertainment, or mass-market retailer.
  • Strong skills in selling, negotiating, forecasting, and plan execution.
  • Store and online selling experience, ideally with Value, Off Price and Drug
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong work ethic, high level of motivation, and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and solution-based problem-solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to multi-task while delivering accurate results.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Help with samples and mod sets, ability to lift 20lbs.
  • Occasional travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Business Portfolio to achieve targeted sales objectives by creating business plans and an overall strategy to achieve goals.
  • Understand POS and overall toy marketplace to tell a story and drive decisions. Gain share across accounts by leveraging data insights.
  • Work with product development, marketing & licensing teams to create a wholistic experience for the buyer to achieve excellence in the market.
  • Identify white space to find new opportunities to build sales portfolio.
  • Attend toy shows & previews and be knowledgeable of new product lines, past sales, future opportunities.
  • Have 360-degree knowledge of your business to do presentations, answer questions and help management with brand / product decisions.
  • Conduct buyer meetings & business reviews to manage the business- forecast planning, marketing / promotional plans, and omnichannel opportunities.
  • Make sure to keep all internal documents complete and accurate, ranging from forecasting system to line lists, and deals.
  • Build strong relationships with retail buyers as well as internal teams.
