About The Position

At Baked by Melissa, we’re on a mission to make life sweeter one bite-sized cupcake at a time. We’ve built a brand that’s playful, innovative, and customer-obsessed, and we’re looking for a Senior Account Executive, Wholesale to help bring our products to more people in more places. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building meaningful partnerships, driving growth, and thinking creatively about how our brand shows up beyond our direct channels. You’ll own and expand key wholesale relationships while helping shape the future of our wholesale business.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in wholesale, account management, or sales (CPG, food & beverage, or retail preferred)
  • Proven track record of growing accounts and driving meaningful revenue impact
  • Strong business acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L performance
  • A relationship-builder who brings energy, creativity, and authenticity to every interaction
  • Confident negotiator with a history of closing and expanding business
  • Highly analytical, with strong forecasting and planning skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach.io [http://outreach.io] and ZoomInfo or similar
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Passionate about the Baked by Melissa brand and excited to help us grow in new and unexpected ways

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic wholesale accounts, delivering a best-in-class partner experience
  • Build strong, long-term relationships that reflect the energy and values of the Baked by Melissa brand
  • Anticipate partner needs and proactively identify opportunities to grow the business
  • Own revenue performance across your account portfolio, with clear accountability for growth targets
  • Identify and execute opportunities for upselling and expanding current partnerships including driving distribution growth inclusive of SKU expansion, new door placement, and regional/national rollouts
  • Prospect, pitch, and onboard new wholesale partners that align with our brand and growth strategy
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline to support continued expansion
  • Build sales materials and pitch decks working cross functionally with our in-house creative team
  • Develop innovative ideas to bring Baked by Melissa products to life within partner channels
  • Ensure our brand standards and customer experience translate seamlessly across wholesale touchpoints
  • Analyze account performance, forecasts, and partner projections to inform decisions monitoring for sell-through, velocity and in-store execution to ensure strong retail performance while identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Partner cross-functionally (bakery operations, supply chain, marketing & finance) to ensure demand planning, seamless order execution, strong partner experience, and inventory alignment 
  • Use insights to drive and optimize assortment expansion, merchandising, and promotional strategies
  • Lead negotiations and close new business opportunities with a strong commercial mindset
  • Manage account-level P&Ls and ensure profitable, sustainable growth
