About The Position

The Springboard Fellowship is a paid, two-year fellowship that brings recent college grads with raw talent, passion, and skills needed to reimagine and redesign Jewish student life to college campuses across North America. Through this fellowship, participants will further develop their talents and use them to engage students in Jewish life. Extensive Jewish education is not necessary — just an interest in creating a vibrant Jewish community, a commitment to learning, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of students. Graduating seniors or recent college graduates who have experience and demonstrated interest in positively impacting the lives of hundreds of Jewish college students are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

A passion for impacting Jewish life on college campuses
Demonstrated interest in student engagement and leadership
Recent college graduates or graduating seniors (within the past 0-3 years)
Excitement about positively engaging with of hundreds of Jewish students
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative community
Ability to take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

Engagement and Community Building: Actively engage with students, fostering strong relationships to help create a vibrant and inclusive Jewish community on campus. Build relationships with students by meeting them where they are; this may include attending on-campus events and meetings, tabling, one-on-one conversations, facilitating small group discussions, staffing immersive experiences, and developing new and creative initiatives.
Program Support: Provide support and guidance to staff and student leaders to enhance campus initiatives, ensuring impactful and innovative programming that resonates with the diverse needs and interests of the Jewish student community. Develop and enhance new and existing programs and learning initiatives to reach larger groups of students.
Education: By serving as a strong Jewish role model, engage in meaningful conversations about Jewish life, rituals, and values. Produce creative Jewish experiences for Jewish identity development and help others along their individual paths of Jewish discovery in a pluralistic and welcoming environment.
Network and Partnership Building: Connect with other like-minded professionals within the Springboard cohort and across the Hillel movement, forming a collaborative community.
Campus Engagement: Coordinate bridge building work with other cultural and religious groups on campus.

A minimum base salary of $46,000 in year 1 and $48,000 in year 2. Springboard Fellows working in the U.S. are considered non-exempt employees.
Fellows also participate in a number of robust professional development opportunities, including New Professionals Institute, Hillel International Global Assembly, and an individualized course of study that may include travel or immersive learning.
