About The Position

At Smith+Nephew, a global medical technology company, the Sports Medicine Territory Manager acts as a product consultant for the Sports Medicine product portfolio, focusing on soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, knee, hip, and small joints. This role involves collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, hospital and OR staff, administrators, and clinicians to increase product awareness and adoption. Success in this position relies on Sports Medicine technical expertise, the ability to build strong customer relationships, and the development of an effective territory business plan to achieve sales quotas. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum (4-6) years direct sales experience
  • Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
  • Proven success in achieving quota year over year
  • Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives
  • Successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of healthcare facilities, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocols

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years in medical device industry preferred
  • Experience with selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points in the hospital, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, bio-med and information systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Convert physicians/accounts by making sales calls
  • Provide clinical case coverage in the operating room
  • Train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products through education/programs in your territory
  • Work collaboratively with key orthopedic surgeons, hospital and OR staff, administrators, and clinicians
  • Work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of products including the Sports Medicine product portfolio
  • Build positive relationships which enhances access to customers that provide data-driven, trusted solutions
  • Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed your quota
  • Provide first-class technical support to ensure that product availability meets customer and patient needs
  • Partner with all Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities
