About The Position
Do you have a passion for sports and events? Are you ready to work in an exciting part-time, temporary role that blends your love for athletics and the vibrant culture of Morro Bay? The City of Morro Bay Recreation Services Division is seeking an enthusiastic Sports Coordinator to join our dynamic team! The City of Morro Bay Recreation Services Division offers sports programing for, basketball, soccer, flag football, softball, and futsal as well as several City Special Events. We are currently looking for a coordinator to assist with our sports programs and special events.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sports programs a must.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an athlete, coach, and/or referee preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Duties include all aspects of program management of sports programs including but not limited to registration, team formation, scheduling of games and staff, working with volunteer coaches and volunteer boards, end of season awards, tournaments, fundraising, equipment, and field management.
- Special Events duties include all aspects of event management.
