Overview How you can make a difference We are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused sponsorships and events manager to expand our company’s presence in key markets. The role drives growth by spearheading brand sponsorships, affiliate partner programs, and managing joint events and co-branded initiatives that engage the public, including clients, partners, and industry thought leaders. This is a hybrid position and applicants must reside in Utah with some required in-office time at our Draper, UT office location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years in B2B health benefits, professional services partnerships, or event/affiliate management.
  • Proven success delivering measurable results via events, strategic sponsorships, and affiliate programs.
  • Highly detail oriented and obsessed with delivering the best experience in our events & sponsorships.
  • Project leadership and event logistics management experience—ideally in co-hosted or partner-driven environments.
  • Expertise with CRM and Martech tools (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Outreach) and ROI reporting.
  • Experience with microsoft suite
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and communications skills across diverse teams and partner organizations
  • Up to 25% travel may be required to represent HealthEquity at trade shows, conferences, and other related events.
  • Must be willing to attend sponsorship events & other activations which might happen outside normal business hours.

  • Familiarilty with technology and AI trends in this space is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure partnership and sponsorship opportunities with organizations in specific target markets, primarily the Utah region. This role will also potentially expand to sponsorships in the rest of the country in the near future.
  • Lead event planning and execution with strategic partners—such as hosted specialty events, webinars, industry panels, roundtables, conferences, and workshops. Define event objectives, manage project plans, coordinate logistics, and ensure alignment throughout the planning and delivery phases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create co-marketing content and campaign assets for events, product launches, and partner-driven initiatives targeting benefits decision-makers, HR, and Finance leaders.
  • Negotiate partnership terms, event sponsorship agreements, and incentives with vendors.
  • Launch and manage ambassador programs and digital collaborations that extend brand reach and pipeline growth.
  • Track and report on partnership and event ROI using partner management and CRM platforms; adjust strategies for optimal impact.
  • Ensure all sponsorship and event activities comply with industry regulations, brand standards, and benefit industry best practices.
