About The Position

We are looking for an Event Sponsorship Manager to drive revenue and build meaningful partnerships for our flagship annual user conference, VerkadaOne, and our growing portfolio of regional field events. This role requires a unique blend of sales ability and event marketing expertise — someone who can identify sponsorship opportunities, sell value to partners, and ensure sponsorships elevate the event experience while aligning with company objectives. This role will report into our Director of Events.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years in full sales cycle closing experience in quota carrying capacity (tech or SaaS industry preferred).
  • Proven ability to exceed targets, and can articulate how you have ensured your own success.
  • Understanding of how events drive pipeline and brand engagement, with the ability to connect sponsorship value to measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and partner teams.
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and hold strong presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce, Hubspot or similar) and event marketing stacks.
  • Inbox 0 mentality with hunger and drive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, package, and sell sponsorship opportunities from our technology and channel partners across VerkadaOne and field marketing programs.
  • Build tailored sponsorship packages that align with partner goals while enhancing attendee experience.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Partner with the marketing event teams to ensure sponsor activations complement the overall event strategy, branding, and attendee journey.
  • Advise sponsors on the most effective ways to activate their presence — from speaking opportunities and branding to hands-on experiences and digital campaigns.
  • Track sponsorship ROI alongside event performance metrics (pipeline influenced, cost per lead, attendee engagement).
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with technology partners, resellers, and sponsors.
  • Serve as the main sponsor liaison before, during, and after events to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Collect feedback post-event and continuously evolve sponsorship offerings.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Partnerships, and Sales to align sponsorship strategies with broader go-to-market priorities.
  • Work with Finance and Legal to finalize contracts and manage sponsorship payments.
  • Contribute to post-event reporting and debriefs, highlighting sponsorship impact on pipeline and brand objectives.
