The Patient Access Team and Specialty Scheduling is responsible for providing professional reception and scheduling services to patients, visitors and staff in a growing clinic setting. Applicants should have 5-star service standards, be detail orientated and able to multi-task and problem solve. This position works closely with patients, providers and clinic nursing staff in our Specialty departments to ensure a well-rounded care experience for patients. The Patient Access Team is the first point of contact for patient and visitors, which makes this position an integral part of the care team. Specialty Schedulers process referrals for 19 different specialties seen at Lakewood Health System. This involves following each specialty and provider’s protocol and appropriate guidelines to ensure best patient care. This team also corresponds with several partnering facilities regarding schedules. This is a full-time, 64 hours per pay period (0.8FTE) position working business hours Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Demonstrates attention to detail in patient care.
  • Manages multiple projects effectively.
  • Can quickly adapt to changes.
  • Able to organize, coordinate and prioritize tasks.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC experience preferred but not required.
