About The Position

Optime Care seeks a Pharmacy Fulfillment Manager to assist the Pharmacist-In-Charge in all aspects of pharmacy and wholesale fulfillment that are permissible by law for a pharmacy technician to perform. This includes the filling of prescriptions, the management of inventory/regulatory record keeping, and the packaging and shipping of medications, DSCSA traceability, cycle counts, and reconciliation. The Pharmacy Fulfillment Manager works with the Pharmacist-In-Charge and Care Teams to help accurately complete pharmacy and wholesale distributions while ensuring optimal inventory levels to support pharmacy throughput. This position will be located in Earth City, MO, and is expected to be in the office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, or equivalent, is required
  • 2 or more years of experience with pharmacy fulfillment operations and/or wholesale fulfillment operations preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory Statutes and Laws
  • One year of experience with Inventory Management preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and judgment skills
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision
  • Ability to motivate team members to reach full potential with regard to work and production within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
  • Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and clients, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with day-to-day tasks such as filling prescriptions and packaging orders
  • Manage wholesale distribution to authorized facilities
  • Assist with all aspects of Inventory Management, including but not limited to: receiving, dispensing, and tracking Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA).
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including temperature monitoring, facility cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance
  • Assist in monitoring and ordering pharmacy or facility supplies
  • Assist in the fulfillment of prescriptions in the pharmacy
  • Assist in preparing any ad hoc report requests from clients
  • Serve as an additional representative for facility vendors or contacts
  • Monitor external websites relating to regulatory affairs
  • Serve as a mentor for new team members
  • Ability to cross-train and demonstrate competency in patient management duties, and assist as needed in total patient care and in resolving issues
  • Serve as the Designated Representative as required by wholesale licensing bodies
  • Responsible for processing the return/quarantine/shipping for destruction of medications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
