This employee is primarily responsible for managing a queue of delinquent and non-delinquent accounts and investigating, monitoring, and resolving specialty accounts. The position will comply with internal policy and procedures on handling specialty accounts. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross [1] divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.

Requirements

  • 2+ years collection or relevant experience (automotive preferred).
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Basic computer skills - Knowledge of Windows including Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills - Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas to peers and customers
  • Strong listening skills - Ability to listen and understand direction
  • Strong negotiation skills – Ability to negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements with the customer
  • Skip tracing skills - Ability to utilize various skip tracing tools (where applicable)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a queue of delinquent and non-delinquent accounts
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls as needed per position
  • Ensure all account activity is properly documented per department standards
  • Perform medium to heavy skip tracing activities utilizing free and paid tools such as Accurint, TLO etc. (where applicable)
  • Manage repossession assignments and all relevant activities (where applicable)
  • Adhere to department standards for effective queue management
  • Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co-create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance. Assist in the development of other team members and provide day-to [1] day mentoring and guidance as requested by leadership.
