About The Position

The Specialized Loan Servicing Specialist III serves as a subject matter expert in the servicing of specialized loan products. This role is responsible for leading reporting efforts, performing complex reconciliations, and providing expert-level guidance to departmental staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance related field required.
  • Four (4) years of commercial loan documentation experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Six (6) + years loan documentation experience required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal banking regulations, including but not limited to, HMDA, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, and the Flood Disaster Protection Act preferred.
  • Knowledge of real estate documents (Title Opinions, Title Insurance Documents, Mortgages, Appraisals, etc.) preferred.
  • Knowledge of UCC rules and regulations preferred.
  • Knowledge of other departments, as they relate to loan operations.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer, keyboard, and software application (Microsoft Word and Excel) skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead servicing and reporting for SBA and USDA guaranteed loans.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of SBA SOP regulations.
  • Execute advanced data entry and reconciliations for participations and syndications.
  • Liaise with lead and participant banks to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for letters of credit and BHG loan portfolios.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve complex servicing issues.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Support audit processes and provide expert guidance to team members.
  • Respond to inquiries from the bank’s SBA Lender Servicer Provider.
