About The Position

This position is in the Pilot Hall organization, which facilitates collaboration between R&D and Production. Identify, analyze, root cause, and resolve issues during the vehicle commissioning process within a production environment. You will work hands-on with ECUs and diagnostic systems and collaborate cross-functionally to implement sustainable solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise and systems understanding with a proactive and conceptual mindset. You’ll contribute directly to the future of the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV).

Requirements

  • 4 years professional experience preferred with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning, ideally in a prototype or low-volume environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent field.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle engineering and manufacturing processes, specifically wiring harnessing
  • Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics
  • Fundamentals in DC/AC circuit analysis, LV and HV systems
  • Confident with hands on harness work, including depinning, connector rework, splice repairs, grommet adjustments and prototype harness assembly.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing using basic diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeter, test benches).
  • Familiarity with 3D model and drawing review tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or viewer platforms (JT2Go, Connect, etc.)
  • Strong skills at organizational navigation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; adept at developing effective partnerships and relationships.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for 4 hours.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Planning/execution of wire harness testing before prototypes and pre-series build phase.
  • Confirming dimensional measurements and connectivity according to specifications.
  • Lead a cross-functional team for wiring harness problems, buildability issues, developing and implementing counter measures.
  • Lead charge on product changes with harness and technical solutions to solve and improve buildability issues.
  • Support packing concept of the harness
  • Define and write rework instructions
  • Test and track problems with wiring harness in Pre-Series and Series Phase.
  • Summarize and Report Harness issues to Cross-Functional Team (CFT) and actively create solution to process.
  • Take responsibility for sourcing and purchasing the necessary equipment required for the verification and validation processes of custom wiring harnesses.
  • Maintain and manage all harness related test assets.
  • Provide Instruction and guidance on harness technology and regulations
  • Define/optimize harness routing in the production process.
