About The Position

This position supports a multi‑specialty department by completing patient registration functions and serving as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal teams. The role requires daily collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate registration, efficient patient flow, and a positive patient experience. We are actively cultivating a team‑focused approach to workload management while maintaining a fun and supportive work environment. Collaboration and flexibility are key to our success. Onboarding includes a combination of virtual learning sessions and hands-on, elbow-to-elbow training to ensure confidence and readiness in the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to adapt to change while maintaining clear and effective communication
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a willingness to support shared workloads

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts; experience with ICD‑10 and CPT coding preferred
  • Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient check‑in and check‑out processes
  • Complete patient registration and demographic updates
  • Manage patient letters and correspondence
  • Work message pools and fax queues
  • Direct patients and visitors appropriately
  • Schedule appointments for patients
  • Validate and enter charges into appropriate systems and collect required payments
  • Facilitate patient flow from point of entry through destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
  • Obtain and verify demographic and financial information to support accurate billing and optimal clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with clinical teams and other departments to support smooth clinic operations
