Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Perform metallographic preparation, thermo-mechanical processing, testing, and characterization of metallic materials. Identify key technical issues, develop new processes and iteratively improve system performance through experimentation and process optimization with assistance from scientists and engineers Independently own and operate various pieces of laboratory equipment, investigate novel material components and integrated material systems, and utilize basic analytical methods. Be responsible for the safe and compliant use/operation and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials Build relationships with colleagues at GE Aerospace Research with a wide variety of technical expertise and business responsibilities. Be a member of a multidisciplinary team developing metallic materials.
