United Way Miami, Inc. is hiring a Specialist, Implementation Coach to join our team. As a Specialist, Implementation Coach, you will schedule, coordinate, and facilitate embedded professional development opportunities to support the transfer of knowledge to practice for the participating CAIT administrators and educators in the Miami-Dade area in accordance with The Children’s Trust grant deliverables. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and/or experience related field.
  • Three to five years’ experience in Early Education.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Teaching Strategies GOLD-SmartTeach®.
  • Proficient in Data utilization.
  • Advanced Outlook, intermediate Microsoft Office suite, Google Sheets. Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate a hybrid model to include the Teaching Strategies GOLD PD Plan and supplemental trainings with the intention of enhancing the learning opportunities.
  • Organize, implement, and document Communities of Practice/Learning Groups (CoP/LG) and Professional Development cohorts in accordance with grant deliverables.
  • Facilitate CoPs/LGs that provide a shared, nonthreatening learning atmosphere which connects people across early care and education programs and stimulates learning through collaborative processes, meaningful dialogue, and problem solving.
  • Facilitate effective one-on-one and group virtual (TSG trainings, CoPs, and TA/coaching) interactive video conferences.
  • Distribute technology devices to participating programs and facilitate technical support and/or guidance for their effective use.
  • Offer Professional Development opportunities for infant/toddler and preschool options focused on the use of assessments to track progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Collect and analyze sample classroom documents that will support the use of observation in the classroom.
  • Engage participants in lesson study, in which they compare and contrast their instruction and gain trust in their peers as a continuously improving reflective learning community.
  • Increase opportunities for early care and education practitioners to see and analyze effective practices and deepen levels of reflection while making learning and improving together a culture and standard professional practice.
  • Participate in regular CAIT program progress tracking and review meetings.
  • Collaborate with the CAIT team, community partners, and participating programs to design CoP topics and groups that are responsive to identified needs.
  • Ensure systematic support to Child Care practitioners as well as Family Child Care Providers in the implementation of the Teaching Strategies GOLD Assessment tool.
  • Conduct research and special projects as needed.
  • Conduct classroom observations at designated sites.
  • Apprise the project Director on the progress of Child Care Partners and Family Child Care providers in the area of education, measurable objectives.
  • Provide evidence of the implementation of a coordinated strength-based coaching approach with all educators participating in CAIT.
  • Assist teaching staff in the use of program screening and assessment to inform lesson planning and individualized instruction.
  • Actively participate in the Reflective Supervision process and bi-weekly/or as needed CAIT team meetings.
  • Use the analysis of Readiness Assessment for GOLD Implementation in the development of embedded professional development that includes coaching, mentoring, consultation, communities of practice, and technical assistance.
  • Responsible for data management of child portfolios, as well as data regarding educator/administrators’ progression information, and documentation in the WELS Activity Log of CoPs and TA/Coaching services provided.
