About The Position

Responsible for existing store license renewals, as well as some minor new store permit procurement. The base pay range for this role is $22.69 – $32.79. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience. Previous data entry / general office experience preferred.
  • AA degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong follow-through
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Detail oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member on projects
  • Ability to work autonomously with all levels of management within Ross as well as with local governments
  • Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the renewals of business licenses and permits for all existing store locations using License HQ software. Also responsible for less-time-sensitive licensing duties regarding new stores. This includes determining the license payment, requesting payment, and license delivery to the stores.
  • Responsible for contacting various city, county, and state government agencies for applications, payment requests, and coordinating compliance while collaborating with cross-functional internal teams (i.e., Property Development, Real Estate, Construction, and Store Operations) for information and license delivery related to Ross and dd’s stores.
  • Responsible for communication to appropriate departments within the company regarding licensing and permitting matters.
  • Responsible for occupancy business tax filing, and other applicable licensing and fee filings.
  • Special projects as assigned, such as assisting the Merchandising team with researching the licensing requirements for potential new lines of business.
  • Update New Store tracker regularly with licensing status during the New Store process.
  • Gain familiarity with operational licensing concepts, practices, and Ross operational methodologies.
  • Assist team members with clerical responsibilities when needed.
