The HR Specialist III administers the professional licensure processes. Performs data audits. Supports elements of the entire employee lifecycle and assists the HR team in their daily tasks. Provides front-line associate services, data entry and benefits administration. Assists with the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Benefit Plan administration, record maintenance and legislative compliance. This position works closely with the Manager of HR Operations and the Total Rewards team to implement benefit programs and policies. Demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate
  • Extensive computer knowledge including HRMS, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources Department

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and executes the daily HRIS Benefits Administration Event Maintenance system for all benefit events (new hires, terminations, family status changes, LOAs, transfers, etc.)
  • Administers licensure compliance processes
  • Troubleshoots and resolves benefit administration issues.
  • Audits HCM data including but not limited to SSN, COC, PTO hours, service hours, licenses.
  • Processes information related to associate benefit programs including health, dental, life, LTD, death claims, and verification of newborns.
  • Provides employee verifications references.
  • Provides front-line customer support.
  • Answers department hotline and responds to department emails and faxes.
  • Provides back up support to other HR teams in order to ensure efficient operations of the department.
  • Works department front desk as needed.
  • Processes all intercompany transfers and all movements to/from PRN status.
  • Manages tobacco testing plan and processes
  • Runs scheduled and ad hoc queries, reports and data files.
  • Processes status changes, new hires, terminations to ensure proper compensation and benefit administration.
  • Processes corrections for HR Business Partners.
  • Processes direct deposit corrections from Payroll.
  • Processes new hires explaining benefits, tax information, direct deposit, etc.
  • Performs special projects for the Manager of HR Operations and performs other duties as assigned.
