About The Position

We are seeking a Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist to play a critical role in supporting our global workforce and ensuring compliance across U.S., Canada, and international mobility programs. This role partners closely with business leaders, employees, and external counsel to manage end-to-end immigration processes, global mobility initiatives, and relocation support for new and existing employees. The ideal candidate brings deep immigration expertise, a strong service mindset, and the ability to navigate complex, time-sensitive cases while delivering a seamless employee experience in a fast-paced, multinational environment. Position can be based in either Jersey City, NJ or Lehi, UT, which both have a flexible hybrid work model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related business discipline, or the equivalent experience is required.
  • In addition, a minimum of 3+ years of experience supporting immigration within a multi-national company.
  • Extensive exposure to end-to-end process of nonimmigrant and immigrant petition filing.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and processes, specifically with experience around recruitment activities for green card purposes.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; must be collaborative.
  • Hands-on experience in assisting employees and management with Global Mobility and Immigration issues.
  • Project experience with process change management, training stakeholders, and business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and multitask.
  • Willing to learn and roll-up one’s sleeves.

Responsibilities

  • US and Canada Immigration Serves as a point of contact for business units in facilitating review of potential immigration cases in partnership with Verisk’s internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
  • Handle end to end process of business unit’s new and existing employees needing visa sponsorship support to assure sustainability of employment.
  • Immigration process varies from H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and other work visa types.
  • Provide direction and guidance to employees in F-1 OPT status in completing their Form I-983 accordingly to assure issuance of Form I-20.
  • Assist with employees’ green card process sponsored by Verisk. Such process includes PERM Labor Certification, I-140, and I-485.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel in completing the necessary forms and supporting documents to be filed with the DOL and USCIS.
  • Responsible for record keeping, maintenance and tracking of visa information in HR management system.
  • Responsible for I-9 reverification and right of work check of employees in Verisk’s visa sponsorship program.
  • Partner with payroll team to ensure immigration status is tracked within HR management systems to ensure accurate reporting and taxes.
  • Provides support in travel letter requests for employees on Verisk-sponsored visa Review and submit for processing Global Mobility and Immigration invoices to the Account Payable – Finance team.
  • Performing other tasks and projects as requested by the department.
  • Global Mobility Monitor and update the global mobility tracker and provide it to the Tax team and Global Protection Services team periodically.
  • Maintain individual cost spreadsheets and track estimate to actual costs for submission to payroll/tax advisers at year end as applicable.
  • Review temporary remote requests from employees and advise internal stakeholders if there is any immigration and/or global mobility impact.
  • Review and partner with vendors on relocation request and cost estimates for business units who opts to support relocations request for new hires and existing employees.
