About The Position

Cover assigned MTSU coverage areas and consistently produce high-quality, compelling content, including multimedia content, for the university's news website, social media platforms, and other content platforms. Distribute content as appropriate and assigned to external media partners. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or a related field required.
Three years progressively responsible professional journalistic or directly related experience required.
Current Tennessee Driver's License and Registration.
Cover Letter, Resume and 3 - 5 Content Work Samples Required
Please provide three to five samples of your content work or link(s) to where accessible. These samples are required and must be uploaded as a single document under the “Supporting Document” section. Be sure to combine all samples into one file prior to submission.
Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility for U.S. employment is required before employment (Immigration Control Act of 1986).
This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history to be considered.
