This Specialist, Annual Giving role exists to facilitate and implement the Annual Giving function for Philanthropies (PHI) in support of Church Higher Education. This position develops new processes and operational plans as well as assists in the development of new programs to support team and organization strategy. The position works with internal and external partners to acquire acceptance of new concepts, practices, and approaches. This position must identify problems and adapt methods and techniques used in fundraising programming. The employee in this role must lead a variety of groups through a deep knowledge of one to two job functions, as well as a broad knowledge of several other functions related to annual giving fundraising. Customers include Philanthropies (PHI) directors and managers; and the presidents, advancement vice-presidents, deans or other key academic leaders of the Church's educational institutions of higher education. The customers expect philanthropic goals to be met, relationships with donors developed and maintained, requisite information shared and safeguarded, and institutional policies followed and upheld. This is an intermediate-level individual contributor.
