About The Position

The Safety Guard is responsible for patrolling hotel premises to ensure the safety and security of associates, guests, and hotel property. This role involves monitoring hotel assets, assisting with emergency procedures, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a secure environment. Key duties include monitoring and protecting hotel assets, collaborating with department heads on security measures, assisting with emergency procedures, documenting patrol procedures, assisting with shipping and receiving, monitoring cash handling, investigating asset loss, controlling access to various areas, patrolling public areas for safety hazards, and maintaining activity logs.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
CPR certification.
Ability to follow established security policies and procedures.
Strong communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management.
Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail in monitoring hotel assets and documenting activities.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in security or related field is preferred.
Security certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and protect hotel assets through regular patrols and security checks.
Collaborate with department heads to enhance preventative and responsive security measures.
Assist in executing emergency procedures and ensure guest and associate safety.
Follow and document proper patrol procedures for property inspections.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes to ensure secure handling of hotel deliveries.
Monitor and report violations of cash handling procedures to the General Manager and management.
Investigate and document any loss of hotel assets, ensuring compliance with security policies.
Control access to public, storage, and associate areas, including locker rooms.
Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and inoperative safety equipment.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and events occurring during the shift.
