The Safety Officer is responsible for the comprehensive management of the center's safety program, including security, fire protection, tort claims, and significant incidents, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as government and management directives. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting training for staff and students on safety and OSHA standards, and serving as a liaison with community safety officials. The officer will also perform preventive inspections, coordinate fire drills, and maintain a safe and respectful environment at the Joliet Job Corps Center.
