Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of tribal governance, departmental process and procedures, cultural awareness of strategic values, resource and environmental stewardship and use awareness.
  • Technical Translation & Storytelling Ability Proven ability to translate complex technical, financial, and facilities-related information into clear, accessible, and compelling language that builds understanding and trust.
  • Political Acumen & Community Sensitivity High degree of political awareness, discretion, and judgment when working in complex, diverse, and sometimes contentious community environments, particularly in project-related contexts.
  • Exceptional Communication & Facilitation Skills Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of audiences, including school boards, district leadership, staff, community members, and external stakeholders, both in written and verbal settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree and or demonstrated experience in engineering, communications, planning, public administration, or a related field required

Responsibilities

  • Provides insight and guidance on tribal governance, actions and presentations as required and coordinates with the superintendent and Consertus Owner’s Representative on same.
  • Attends project related meetings, in person or virtually, and prepares reports or meeting notes of meeting for the project team/record.
  • Participates in program formulation meetings and provides requirements for or possible inclusion of program elements into the Concept Master Plan Community Engagement: Prepares, reviews and/or transmits correspondence of meetings attended; craft project messaging for internal or external communications.
  • Trusted Advisor & Project Stewardship Serve as a trusted advisor to district leadership, staff and Consertus team by anticipating challenges, maintaining accountability to schedules and deliverables, and ensuring planning efforts remain transparent, community-informed, and aligned with district values and voter expectations
