About The Position

The ideal candidate is an empathetic and attentive caregiver passionate about supporting children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs) in their homes. This role involves providing in-home care to clients with I/DDs, following individualized client care plans, and providing periodic progress updates to the care team. Services are non-medical.
Requirements
- Great communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Reliability and punctuality
- Two references – at least one reference must be able to confirm disability-related experience
- Proof of a negative TB test is required in accordance with Regional Center regulations (requirements may vary by location)
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid Certification(s)

- Ability to travel to different cities (highly desired)
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home care to children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs)
- Follow individualized client care plans
- Provide periodic progress updates to the care team
- Assist with personal care (bathing/showering & toileting assistance)
- Perform meal preparation
- Provide companionship
- Give medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping
