About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in and around Lycoming County, PA. These special needs caregivers work one-on-one in home and community settings, serving as companions and mentors for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) to help them achieve their full potential. The company offers a Habilitation Apprentice Program, allowing individuals with no prior healthcare experience to receive paid training and gain skills to support people with I/DD, such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome, in living more independent and purposeful lives. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• One year experience working / volunteering with intellectual and development disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Escort clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
