Special Needs Caregiver
About The Position
This position involves providing compassionate care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. The role requires at least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Current Direct Support Professional openings are available in Lenoir, Granite Falls, and the surrounding area, with afternoon shifts available. Requirements
- At least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, etc.)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
- Participate in community integration activities.
- Ability to work independently in a client’s home/community
