About The Position

Assists Supervisor in planning, scheduling, coordinating and problem solving in the assigned Laboratory area. Involved with instrument validation, correlations, new procedures, and special projects. Performs Laboratory procedures, some requiring advance knowledge and skills. Operates lab instrumentation to provide clinical data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease. Makes independent judgment decisions in the reporting of normal and abnormal results. Sets up new Quality Control (QC) lots and reviews quality control routinely. Assists with competencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Science (such as biology, chemistry, medical technology, and clinical/medical laboratory science)
  • Practices Hospitality Training
  • Possesses critical thinking skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Florida licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Supervisor
