About The Position

The Special Events Attractions Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and operational support for various exhibits and shows. This role involves ensuring guests safely enjoy their experience, handling ticket and merchandise sales, and managing cash transactions. The attendant will operate a cash register and POS system, maintain cash banks, and respond to guest inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner. Key aspects of the role include adhering to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and fostering positive interactions with both guests and team members. Requirements

  • Ability to provide customer service in operations for various exhibits and shows.
  • Ability to operate attraction/event by assisting guests to safely enjoy their experience.
  • Ability to sell tickets and retail merchandise, including suggestive selling.
  • Proficiency in operating a cash register and POS system.
  • Ability to manage cash bank and deposits following established cash control procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to answer guest inquiries via phone, personally or electronically.
  • Ability to direct guests to proper locations with clear instructions.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Maintenance of clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Ability to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

  • Compliance with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service in the areas of operations for various exhibits and shows.
  • Operate attraction/event by assisting guests to safely enjoy their experience.
  • Sell tickets to attraction/event by providing accurate information in a suggestive selling manner.
  • Sell retail merchandise utilizing suggestive selling methods and maintaining displays as needed.
  • Operate cash register and POS system to sell tickets or merchandise.
  • Be responsible for cash bank and deposits following established cash control procedures.
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone, personally or electronically in a prompt, courteous manner.
  • Direct guests to proper location with clear instructions.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Verify uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
