About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to join a Missouri school district for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative school environment while making a meaningful impact on students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities, helping them reach their academic, behavioral, and social goals. You will work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure each student receives appropriate services in alignment with their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Requirements
- Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education.
- Knowledge of IDEA and Missouri special education requirements.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
- Provide differentiated instruction in small-group and individualized settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
- Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and progress monitoring.
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
