About The Position

Child Saving Institute (CSI) is looking for someone who has a mind full of wonder and a heart-filled desire to make a difference! We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll be an essential part of our team, providing educational programming for youth with significant behavioral needs, developing and implementing IEPs, designing curriculum, and supporting students in a positive, collaborative, and therapeutic academic environment. Requirements

  • Experienced in special education programming for Behaviorally Disordered youth
  • Able to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
  • Skilled in classroom instruction, behavior management, and curriculum design
  • Knowledgeable in educational documentation, communication, and collaboration
  • Able to maintain confidential information appropriately
  • Certified through the Iowa Department of Education with appropriate Special Education endorsements
  • In possession of a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in therapeutic, PMIC, or residential education settings
  • CPI certification
  • Strong technology and data-tracking skills
