About The Position

EF Specialists is seeking a Business Development Consultant (School District Partnerships) to drive new business opportunities with California school districts. This consultant will leverage existing relationships, special education expertise, and strategic outreach to expand district partnerships and increase revenue in 2026. You will receive direct training from the CEO on our sales process and collaborate closely with leadership on outreach strategy and prospect development.

Requirements

  • Background in special education, psychology, child development, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of school district structures and decision-making processes
  • Ability to manage consultative sales conversations and handle objections confidently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable with outreach, including cold calls and navigating gatekeepers
  • Self-motivated, solutions-focused, and relationship-driven
  • Familiarity with coaching, tutoring, or disability-related services
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, CRM systems, AI tools, and video platforms (Zoom, Google Meet)
  • Professional and effective working with diverse school communities
  • Availability to conduct outreach during weekday PST hours
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Education Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Special Education credential or equivalent coursework
  • Minimum of five years of teaching, administrative, coaching, or district-related experience

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with California school districts
  • Build, nurture, and manage relationships with district administrators and decision-makers
  • Conduct inquiry and sales calls, address objections, and manage follow-up
  • Maintain accurate contact records and opportunity tracking in GoHighLevel (GHL)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align districts and families with appropriate EF specialists
  • Support contract growth by transitioning short-term engagements into longer-term service packages (bonus eligible)
