The Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA), with its main office located at 1260 Louisville Road, Frankfort, KY and its investment office located in Louisville, KY, is seeking an Investment Associate who will report to the Executive Director Office of Investments (CIO). KPPA invests and manages over $31 billion from three 401a governmental qualified retirement trusts ("Systems") and one IRC 115 insurance trust (broken down into and invested as 5 retirement and 5 retiree insurance funds). All funds are broadly diversified across investments in public and private securities and investment vehicles. Currently, approximately 70% of the assets are managed by outside investment management firms with the balance managed in-house. Br> The Systems have a membership of more than 433,000 active, retired and deferred members and beneficiaries, including state employees, state police officers, city and county employees, as well as non-teaching staff of local school boards and regional universities. The Investment Associate will serve as an integral member of the Investment team working collaboratively with the CIO and other team members across asset classes to manage and execute multiple aspects of the investment process. This position requires the ability to work independently; effectively prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines; and communicate effectively across the organization. This position will work closely with KPPA’s Investment Officers in the implementation and monitoring of internal and external investment strategies. They will support due diligence efforts, assist in quantitative and qualitative analysis of new and existing managers, conduct detailed performance and portfolio analysis, and produce reporting packages.
