About The Position

The Spanish Ministry & Facility Assistant supports Aspire Church’s mission by serving both the Spanish-speaking ministry and the operational needs of the San Marco campus. This role exists to help develop and sustain Aspire Church Hispana through discipleship, translation, and community engagement, while also ensuring that church facilities are prepared, maintained, and fully functional for worship gatherings, ministry activities, and events. This hybrid role is designed to flex between ministry and facility needs, requiring strong time management, adaptability, and a heart to serve both people and operational excellence within Aspire Church.

Requirements

Fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
Organizational and administrative competency
Ability to translate language with clarity and cultural sensitivity
Ability to follow procedures and work independently when needed
Flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance
Growing, active relationship with Jesus Christ

Strong work ethic and reliability

Nice To Haves

Microsoft 365, church systems preferred
Basic knowledge of facility operations or maintenance preferred
College or ministry training preferred
Prior ministry experience (especially multicultural or Spanish-speaking contexts) preferred
Experience in facilities, maintenance, or event support desirable
Experience in teaching, translation, administration, or member care is highly valued

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of Spanish-language worship gatherings and ministry initiatives
Support the development of a healthy, disciple-making Spanish-speaking congregation
Assist with teaching responsibilities including small groups, classes, and occasional Sunday ministry opportunities
Help contextualize Aspire’s discipleship pathway (Gather, Grow, Go) for the Spanish-speaking community
Provide verbal and written translation (English Spanish) for worship services, meetings, and church communications, including sermons and announcements
Ensure clear and culturally appropriate communication across ministries and digital/print platforms
Support pastoral care efforts including follow-up, visitation, and connection with Spanish-speaking members
Help integrate individuals and families into the life of the church
Maintain records of attendance, membership, and engagement
Assist with preparing buildings, rooms, and grounds for services, events, and ministry activities
Ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for use
Support routine maintenance, light repairs, preventative care, and general facility upkeep
Report facility issues or safety concerns promptly
Provide setup, breakdown, and logistical assistance for ministry events and special gatherings (weddings, funerals, community events)
Support campus readiness during peak ministry times
Coordinate with custodial staff and contractors as needed
Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and ministry gatherings
Assist in church-wide events and initiatives
Support Aspire Church’s broader vision including church planting and revitalization
Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff
