Space Management Assistant (Temporary - Part-time/28 hours per week) This is a temporary part-time (28 hours per week) position for 1 to 4 years. It will help shift some workload from our current team so they can focus on implementing the new software system while this position maintains current operations. This position will also help keep the Space Management database up to date, so campus stakeholders have the information they need as we transition to a new software. What you’ll do in this position: Maintain an accurate database of all rooms on campus The database tracks every room on campus, totaling approximately 11 million square feet of campus space as well as an additional 2 million square feet of campus-related space. The database is used as the main backbone of many campus systems, including Academic Scheduling, Campus Scheduling, Capital Needs and Utilities Analysis Center, Workday, OIT and others. Assign space audits to students and review their findings before making database changes. Oversee continual space audits of each college and building and fill in as needed to complete audits. Supervise student auditors in the day-to-day work. Assist in hiring and training new students Complete special projects as assigned Learn new software and create updated training materials for student employees
