About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Space Management Team in development of planograms and related workflow by using gathered information including analytics findings and recommendations. Ensures that visual presentations of products and merchandise displays meet established merchandising standards and are aesthetically appealing to customers.

Requirements

  • Requires a total four years overall experience
  • GENERAL EXPERIENCE 3 years of experience in administrative retail merchandising and supply chain technical or other responsible work which enabled the applicant to gain a general knowledge of merchandising and operational practices skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships and the ability to exercise mature judgement.
  • OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months experience up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelors degree for 3 years of general experience.
  • AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of experience involving in depth knowledge of direct sales retail merchandising supply chain and operations management policies and procedures line of staff experience in the planning forecasting of direct supervision of a retail operation or segment ability to analyze work problems and related data and knowledge ability and skill to operate use the appropriate systems software hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of planograms for stores using Microsoft Excel and JDA space planning software according to NEXCOMs merchandising and planogram requirements.
  • Ensure that finalized planograms reflect NEXCOM vision values and requirements based on buyer vision industry best practices and gathered information.
  • Establish and maintain effective Buying Planning and Vendor relationships.
  • Capitalize on solid conceptual understanding of retail merchandising as it relates to horizontal product placement vertical product placement and block placement to maximize merchandise sales and inventory using product design selection packaging pricing and displays that stimulate consumers to purchase merchandise.
  • Adheres to corporate level and Space Management business rules and best practices as it relates to the creation of planograms and product placement.
  • Ensure that corporate internet site is accurate and Planograms are easily accessible.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to NEX core values.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Incumbent may progress non-competitively to a Space Management Analyst II NF-04 SC 4B upon the completion of qualification requirements and training within a 2 year timeframe advancement is not permitted with less than 1 year in current position
