ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Spa Manager is responsible for providing leadership, support, and supervision of department requirements and standards in the daily operations of The Spa. The Spa Manager leads a team responsible for customer satisfaction, professionalism, customer service, spa service quality and provide optimum financial performance. Motivate our team to deliver service levels of the highest standards in all areas throughout The Spa Review and refresh spa product offerings to keep up with current customer and industry trends. Anticipate and identify future trends Purchase and merchandise retail for Spa boutique Continually identify new services to remain competitive in the market, while planning department sales and marketing to ensure spa services are included in property- related advertising Develop and write spa service selection working with Marketing team for Spa brochures and other essential marketing Coordinate group spa services. Work closely with Lodge Sales & Marketing teams to ensure cross-selling and marketing of The Spa with group and transient guests Assist with the development and implement annual budget and business plan for The Spa with Senior Management team for collaborative property goals Monitor the Spa's actual and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded Select vendors for Spa retail and operational product lines, manage contract agreements with vendors Oversee retail product research, product selection and purchasing. Manage supply inventories and purchasing control Incorporate policy and operations in compliance to guidelines, regulations and procedures of the latest requirements dictated by local and state authorities Execution of biweekly detailed payroll systems and time sheets for Spa department working with Accounting and HR teams Actively integrate recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of candidates for all open positions within The Spa Facilitate implementation of schedules for Spa Supervisors, Leadership team, Service Providers and Receptionists Provide an effective structure for communication within The Spa Foster a collaborative, healthy environment for spa team to perform at highest level Incorporate opportunities for ongoing training and development of all spa team members Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication skills -English required (Bilingual Spanish a plus.)
  • Ability to use Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Publisher.
  • MindBody Business, Guest Intake and Opera program knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale operations.
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate and possess good organizational abilities and be capable of handling challenging guest situations with professionalism and tact.
  • Must be able to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess minimum of 3 years full time supervisory/managerial experience, preferably at a spa or hospitality related position.
  • Must display the ability to work with a variety of people, remain calm and professional during stressful situations, must be able to analyze and resolve guest and staff related problems.
  • A 4 year College Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Friendly, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
  • Must possess customer service skills and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Honest and ethical with strong leadership skills.
  • Competency in dealing with members, guests and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under time deadlines.
