This role oversees food preparation and production, assists with menu development, and ensures quality, consistency, and food safety standards are met. The Sous Chef may supervise hourly associates, support ordering and inventory, and assist with catering execution. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary and kitchen leadership experience
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience helpful
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, cost control, and presentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic computer systems
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing food and labor costs
  • Assist with menu planning, development, and daily production
  • Supervise and support culinary team members
  • Execute catering events and special functions
  • Assist with purchasing, inventory, and product ordering
  • Implement new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
