Partner with the best! As a Sourcing Specialist you will be responsible to manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Positions requiring thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context. The key responsibilities of the Sourcing Specialist may include the following as well as other items required to execute the role: Creating and managing production schedules for machine and assembly shop operations, ensuring timely product delivery Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts Working with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast. Analyzing incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs Working with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins) Working with the AMO organization to ensure spare parts and asset demands are captured Working to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process Assisting in executing continuous improvement projects to maximize value. Working closely with shop teams to allocate resources and materials efficiently Monitoring production processes, making adjustments to stay on track and reduce downtime Performing cost analysis, identifying areas to cut costs and improve efficiency Maintaining inventory records, balancing material availability and stock levels Collaborating with quality control to meet industry standards and customer requirements Keeping internal teams and management updated on production status, delays, or issues Providing regular reports on production schedules, costs, and inventory Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will have: Have Associates' Degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience) Have experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management Have basic understanding of SAP and MRP functionality Ability to work with and influence stakeholders Show tactical execution with a sense of urgency Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. Requirements
